CO2 Primary Gas Regulator – Bottle Mounted 0–35 PSI

The CO2 Primary Gas Regulator provides adjustable gas pressure control for draught beer and beverage dispensing systems. Designed to connect directly to a compatible carbon dioxide cylinder, it reduces high bottle pressure to a controlled working pressure of 0–35 PSI.

Featuring a 3/8" push-fit gas outlet and dual pressure relief valves (PRVs), this bottle-mounted CO2 regulator is suitable for commercial beer dispense installations, including pubs, bars, breweries, mobile bars and home draught systems.

It can supply CO2 directly to compatible keg couplers or feed secondary regulators where individual dispense pressures are required.

Key Features

  • Bottle-mounted primary CO2 regulator – Connects directly to compatible beverage-grade CO2 cylinders.

  • Adjustable 0–35 PSI pressure – Allows the outlet pressure to be set for the dispense system.

  • Dual pressure relief valves – Provides protection against excessive pressure on the regulated side.

  • 3/8" push-fit outlet – Connects to compatible beverage gas tubing.

  • Primary gas pressure control – Reduces cylinder pressure before supplying the dispense equipment.

  • Secondary regulator compatible – Can supply additional regulators for installations with multiple kegs.

  • Versatile applications – Suitable for professional cellar systems, mobile bars and compatible home beer dispensing equipment.

Bottle Mounted CO2 Regulator for Draught Beer

A primary gas regulator is an essential component of many CO2-powered draught beer systems.

Installed directly onto the gas cylinder, it reduces the high pressure of the stored CO2 to a suitable operating pressure for the connected equipment.

This 35 PSI CO2 regulator can be used with compatible keg couplers, beer dispense installations and secondary pressure regulators.

It is suitable for a range of carbonated draught beverages where CO2 is the specified dispense gas.

Adjustable CO2 Pressure from 0–35 PSI

The regulator offers adjustable outlet pressure up to 35 PSI, allowing the CO2 supply to be configured according to the requirements of the beverage and dispensing equipment.

The correct pressure will depend on factors such as:

  • Beer or beverage type

  • Required carbonation level

  • Keg storage temperature

  • Beer line length and internal diameter

  • Cooler and dispense configuration

  • Brewery or beverage manufacturer's recommendations

Always use the appropriate pressure for the complete dispense system rather than relying on a single setting for every product.

Dual Pressure Relief Valves

The regulator incorporates two pressure relief valves, designed to release excessive pressure from the regulated side of the system.

These safety components provide additional protection against overpressure but must not be modified, obstructed or used in place of correct regulator adjustment.

3/8" Push-Fit Gas Outlet

Supplied with a 3/8" push-fit outlet, the regulator connects to compatible beverage gas pipework commonly used in draught beer installations.

The push-fit connection provides a straightforward method of connecting the gas supply without requiring an additional outlet adaptor.

Using a CO2 Primary Regulator with Secondary Regulators

For installations with multiple kegs, a primary regulator can supply CO2 to compatible secondary regulators, allowing separate operating pressures for individual dispense lines.

A typical configuration is:

CO2 Cylinder → Primary CO2 Regulator → Gas Line → Secondary Regulator → Keg Coupler

This arrangement is particularly useful in pubs, brewery taprooms and larger draught systems serving several products.

Suitable Applications

This bottle-mounted CO2 regulator is suitable for compatible beverage dispense systems in:

  • Pubs and bars

  • Breweries and taprooms

  • Restaurants and hotels

  • Mobile bars and event installations

  • Commercial beer cellars

  • Home draught beer systems

Installation and Gas Compatibility

Before installation, confirm that the regulator connection is suitable for the CO2 cylinder and that the regulator's pressure range meets the requirements of the dispense system.

Only use with compatible beverage-grade CO2 supplies.

Important: Gas cylinders contain high-pressure gas. Regulators should be installed and adjusted by a competent person familiar with beverage gas equipment. Never substitute an unsuitable industrial regulator for a correctly specified beverage gas regulator.
